Fairy Camp LA

Thank you so much for such a magical week!

We loved making new friends, seeing old pals, imagining, dancing, playing, singing and crafting with your kids!

Today we received a note from a very special Fairy – the Queen herself!

dearest children,
Tis I, Queen Leekis – Ruler of Hannalonkawich and a Red Love Fairy. I have been watching you all very closely, and have admired all you have done to help show Thomas where the magic lay. His search may be long and his journey difficult, but in the end, I believe he will come to the conclusion that Magic is all about LOVE. I have ruled this magical village for 1000 00000000 years and I have always ruled it with LOVE – I hope you will show Thomas what this looks like and he too will find magic in LOVE LOVE LOVE.

We used her letter as an opportunity to talk about what we loved (you parents surely are top billing!)

Later we got this note from Dossledorf, which sent us on a mission to be Fairy Detectives and figure out what we were missing!
Dear friends,
I write this note on our final day. Thomas and I have been watching you and we have laughed, smiled, and been heart warmingly happy but although we have had fun, he still isn’t sure exactly what magic means and what he has to do to get it. We understand it takes friendship, loyalty, adventure, curiosity, silliness, bravery, surprise, science and love. Yet, Thomas is not satisfied. He feels there is still something missing.
Something MORE.
I’m feeling slightly defeated. Can you help?

We put together all the clues we had received this week – and realized that if put in Rainbow order, the letters created a word… BELIEVE!

We were so excited about our discovery that we decided to create our own fairy villages so that we can have the fairies join us at our own homes. They turned out beautifully!

Later, we received some excellent news in our final note:

Dearest friends!
Oh my goodness! Holy hobble hots! You figured it out! Magic is about BELIEVING! You are so smart and so right! Yes, magic is all about all the glorious things we learned this week BUT above all, THE most important thing of all is BELIEF. If you don’t believe in magic, you surely will not see it.
Now Thomas Rosebud can’t stop smiling. He is looking at the world with an open heart and now that he knows he has to BELIEVE, he is seeing magic EVERYWHERE!

We appreciate the love and fun you all brought to camp. We are so lucky indeed to have such enchanted friends. Keep the magic in your heart and never forget to BELIEVE!
