Day Five – Fairy Adventures at August’s

Happy last day of camp, dear magical beings!

We had fun hanging out with our friends, dancing, being silly AND solving the big mystery of the week!

This morning we received this note from Dossledorf:

Dear friends,
Well, I write this note on our final day together. Thomas and I have been watching you and we have laughed, smiled, and been heart warmingly happy but although we have had fun, he still isn’t sure exactly what magic means and what he has to do to get it. We understand it takes friendship, loyalty, adventure, curiosity, silliness, bravery, surprise, science and love. Yet, Thomas is not satisfied. He feels there is still something missing.
Something MORE.
I’m feeling slightly defeated. Can you help?

The kids really put their heads together. We put all of our clues in one spot and bam! Suddenly, we realized that all the letters made a word…. a super magical word…. the word that really does make magic real or not… BELIEVE!

Soon after we found this note:

Dearest friends!
Oh my goodness! Holy hobble hots! You figured it out! Magic is about BELIEVING! You are so smart and so right! Yes, magic is all about all the glorious things we learned this week BUT above all, THE most important thing of all is BELIEF. If you don’t believe in magic, you surely will not see it.
Now Thomas Rosebud can’t stop smiling. He is looking at the world with an open heart and now that he knows to BELIEVE he is seeing magic EVERYWHERE!

We appreciate the love and fun you all brought to camp. We are so lucky indeed to have such enchanted friends. Please create a fairy village so we can come visit you whenever we are able!
