Fairy Camp LA

Wowzers. If yesterday went by like a flash, today it felt like we fit a year of adventure in just one day!

We started our day with songs, dances, running and MANY cartwheels!

We were SO excited that Dossledorf wrote back to the kids and we loved hearing all of his answers as we sat in the “coconook”.

We read the next chapters of our Fairy Adventure Book. Boann found a map in the magical pouch and so we decided to make our own maps as well.

In the next chapter, Boann used their curious senses to find a beach, on that beach there was a small raft with a sail. Boann also found a rare kind of beach jewel – AND WE FOUND THE SAME KIND! The kids were ecstatic. Unfortunately, a storm erupted while Boann was at sea, but Boann found a message in a bottle that read:

With an open heart you can whether any storm
And find your light to keep you warm
You must remember that you have the power to obtain
Rainbows and sunshine from all of this rain
So try with all of your heart and might
To find color from darkness to shine so bright.

Our campers created their own imaginative messages in a bottle and decorated them so beautifully.

We discussed how we could try to find light in darkness, and color where there was none. We did an experiment to create a rainbow in a jar – it was so cool!
