Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

2 more special guests, 2 more notes, 1000 more laughs and a boatload more magic.

Today we got a note from Spencer the Dragon! I was excited to retell the story of the time where Spencer came to camp. We were nervous at first, but then realized he needed help keeping his egg safe. In honor of Spencer and his story of loyalty and friendship, we made our own Dragon Eggs!

Well, hey there kids,
This is Spencer. I’m a dragon and I owe a lot to the fairy world for helping me believe in magic. You see, I was once in trouble and needed help with my dragon egg. The fairies, despite being a little afraid of me, showed me what it means to be a loyal and caring friend. They helped me keep my child safe, and in return, I vowed to be their friend until the end of my days. I will let Sue tell you more of my story, but I do hope that Thomas can see the magic in caring for friends and keeping an open heart.
With love,
Spencer

This afternoon we had a chill time on the deck. We received this note from Queen Leekis about LOVE. She believes, of course, that LOVE is magic.

dearest children,
Tis I, Queen Leekis – Ruler of Hannalonkawich and a Red Love Fairy. I have been watching you all very closely, and have admired all you have done to help show Thomas where the magic lay. His search may be long and his journey difficult, but in the end, I believe he will come to the conclusion that Magic is all about LOVE. I have ruled this magical village for 1000 00000000 years and I have always ruled it with LOVE – I hope you will show Thomas what this looks like and he too will find magic in LOVE LOVE LOVE.
-Queen Leekis

We made crowns in honor of Queen Leekis and they just made our already magical kids look even more sparkly and beautiful.

Although I don’t want this week to end, I do look forward to figuring out exactly WHAT we are supposed to teach Thomas Rosebud about magic. Will he finally know what it really is about?
