First off, I am SO excited about being at Jaida and Donovan’s Enchanted Yard with all of these super magical kids!! We had a lovely first day! New friends were made, fairy flashes were seen, and so many notes were found!
After songs and dancing, the kids found this note from Dossledorf up in the trees:
Dear Children,
Hello Friends, it is so wonderful to see all of your faces – how I have missed my old friends and so thrilled to meet new ones! It has been a rather unique time, and I am so happy we could all gather here and be together.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am Dossledorf – Lead Communication Fairy for the village of Hannalonkawich. I have known Melissa, Sue and the gang for many years. They are tried, tested and loyal friends and I have SO enjoyed meeting their campers and showing them the magic of the Enchanted World!
Friends, I had such plans for this week – but I have become so distracted with an unsettling problem here in the village.
You see, a young fairy named Thomas Rosebud has come to me in great peril. He has told me that he does not know what Magic is! Thomas does not know how to be magical or even if he IS magical. Sigh.
I am writing to ask for your help.
I had a meeting this morning with all of the enchanted creatures from near and far and they have agreed to come to this yard each day this week to help show Thomas their special magical talents. Perhaps then, he can SEE for himself the beauty of magic and what it means.
I will be bringing Thomas and we will sit yonder in those trees to watch. I do hope you can help by having a magical week and learning all about the enchanted creatures that will come to visit and leave you notes.
Have fun, dear ones.
Love,
Dossledorf
PS – Before anyone comes to visit, will you please create a communifairilee so that you and I can write letters to each other? Please make sure you decorate it with your own sense of awesome!
We have some expert fairy campers in this group who were able to tell the other kids all about communifairilees. The kids decorated them and asked questions – we hope Dossledorf will write back tonight!

This afternoon after some play and stories,

the kids found yet ANOTHER note! This one came with 2 signs – one that said “surprise” and the other that had the letter “E”. Dorothy JFC thought maybe this was a clue to a longer puzzle, so we put them up so we could think about it. There was a note from Daggleroot the Leprechaun and he left so many coins and jewels for the kids to find and we collected them with special bags.
Hee Hee Hee, Ho ho ho
It’s my magic I’ve come to show
We leprechauns truly believe
That magic lies in the surprise of what you may not see
So look around to see if anything is amiss
We will leave you some surprises of magical bliss!
First have peek at the bottom of the trees
To see if you can find the coins we will leave
Next look in the grass – surely you will find something new
Look for color of bright light – we’ve left some jewels for you!
Surprises some in many ways so look forward with an open heart
More treasures await you in this world for those brave enough to start.
We discussed being brave and times where we had to have a lot of courage.

We made sure that Thomas and Dossledorf heard that the Leprechauns thought Surprise is Magic and Magic is Surprise. I wonder who will come visit us tomorrow?
As always we ended our day with put ups (shout outs to friends who helped make our day awesome) and then showed our moves how to get down!!
