Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

Hi Everybody!

What a perfectly great day!  The kids are so magical and we were so excited to be visited by the fairies!

After playing and songs, we got together to discuss how we could tell if magic was close by.  Our investigations led us to a note from Dossledorf himself:

Dearest Friends,

How wonderful it is to be back in Madeleine’s backyard with you!  It has been a few months and I can tell that you are a bit more magical than the last time I saw you.  How can that be?

For those of you who have not yet met me… forgive me.  My name is Dossledorf and I am the lead Communications fairy for the village of Hannalonkawich.  We were so excited to be invited back to Madeleine’s for 2 days of fun, crafting and thankfulness!

We have a lot in store for you and we can’t wait to get started.  We look forward to painting, coloring, gluing, imagining and having so much fun.

For your first activity, I’d like you to find a basket that has a lot of EARS (hee hee I love a riddle!).

Have a blast!

Love,

Dossledorf

The EARS riddle threw us off but we finally figured out that it meant CORN!  The kids found a bunch of decorative corn around the yard.  We learned all about it and then made our own version of the colorful harvest decoration.

After snack the kids found another note about making something that glowed like our magical hearts.  Jackson thought of a candle… and so we made some candle holders from tissue paper!  The kids concentrated so much and they look great!

Our final project was super fun!  We went on a pumpkin scavenger hunt and then each kid used stickers,  puffs, paint, glitter and sharpies to make their pumpkin magical and unique – just like them!

It was a lot of fun and we are very excited for tomorrow!!
