Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

Guys!  Today was hot… but man oh man, are these kids coooolllll.  They rock!  I am pretty sure Dossledorf and the Princess think so too.  Look at these notes from them!

Dear Campers,

Oh my gosh!  Troll Tiki was up to no good last night!  He tricked the entire village of deRooville… that little sneak!  Since it was Florafest he changed all over our food to flowers! I tried to bite into a sap and peach sandwich and instead there was roses and violets in between the bread!  My goodness!

Do you want to know what though?  It was actually quite good!

All the fairies were annoyed at first but then they delighted in their new delicacies!

We loved it so much that we even left some to share with the brave campers!

We hope you like it!  We’ve left it back at deRooville!

Love,

Dossledorf

We rushed back to deRooville and were over the moon excited to see that the fairies had left tiny little crackers and flowers for us to try.  The kids ate roses, marigold and even lavender!  Their reactions were mixed, but I was so proud that everyone was brave enough to try!

Afterwards, we received another note – this one from the Princess –

Dear Friends,

We sure hope you loved your snack – flowers are so important to so much of nature!  Fairies use them for potions, spells, decoration, food and friendship.

Did you know that flowers LOVE music?  It’s true! Their hearts grow bigger at the sound of any kind of music.  We are leaving you these musical chimes. Please decorate them and hang them near flowers you may have at home.  I will guarantee the flowers will grow faster and more beautiful once they hear the music!

If you have time,  Petal Roseheart asked if you would create a song she could sing her flowers to sleep with.  What an honor!

With love,

Princess Thesablee

The kids worked hard on making their wind chimes look as magical as they sound.  We hope it will make the flowers bloom bright and big!

At the end of the day we took refuge in the Air Conditioning and the campers wrote the song Petal Roseheart requested.  They created it to the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle”

Blooming, Blooming little flower

Your beauty is like a magical power

You make me smile every day

Your light shines bright, as we play.

Blooming, Blooming little flower

Your beauty is like a magical power

Thanks for being such great campers, friends!
