Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

Hello artists!

Another great day of exploring the fairy art world all while making friends and having a blast!

The kids had fun dancing and being silly at the park

and when we FINALLY found the hidden note, we were so excited to hear what Dossledorf wrote:

Dear Campers,
Oh my goodness! Oh my gosh! You won’t believe it!
Last night, during Jasmine Frolic’s art show speech she actually mentioned YOU. YOU! She said that the campers of Melissa and Sue camp fill her with inspiration and she loves your imagination!! Congratulations!
Speaking of imagination, wait till you hear about the artist that will be showing his work tonight… Andy Warthog is positively kooky! We can’t wait for you to see!
Love, Dossledorf

At DeRooville, the kids found this note from the Princess:
Dear Friends,
Congratulations again on your splatter paintings – they look beautiful!
Tonight at the art show, we will be showing the works of Andy Warthog. He is a talented and very unique artist with lots of different ideas and different ways of doing art. He likes taking very simple things and making them look cool and different.
Counselor Sue took an Andy Warthog course at Fairy University and she can show you how to do a version of printmaking that we know you are going to love!
Listen carefully and have SO much fun! I can’t wait to see the final product!!
With Love,
Princess Thesablee

We LOVED creating these prints from our own design.  It was such a neat process and the kids thought it looked so cool (so do I!)

We also talked a lot about open hearts and lifting each other up.  Camp Friends are awesome friends!
