Fairy Camp LA

My oh my!  Your kids impressed me so much today! Their work today was colorful, imaginative and magical!

First we learned about nature letters – check out the note we received this morning at the park:

Dear Campers,
ABCD I love me!  
The fairies at Fairy School are learning the English Alphabet.  They are wondering if you would show them what letter your name starts with.  Please use the nature you see to create a NATURE LETTER like this one.

The kids’ art is beautiful.  I love how each of them is unique – just like them!

After returning to deRooville, we found another note that made us SO excited!

Dear Campers,
We know how much you love stories and storytelling.  We know that you have your own story to tell. We know your heart is bursting to tell your tales.  We can’t wait to hear them!
Since you taught the fairies about the English alphabet…
The fairies want to show you their fairy alphabet.
Try to make a tale that includes these letters.  Or write a picture book about the fairies! We can’t WAIT to hear your stories!

I can’t believe how much the kids LOVED this activity.  Some stories were fiction, some non fiction, some picture books, some were about fairies, and others about trolls – but they were ALL awesome!! Some of the campers even used fairy language in their books.  Amazing!  The pride our campers have in these books is really heartwarming.  I can’t wait for you to hear their stories!

At the end of the day, we had one final treat – a music class with awarding winning children’s singer…. my business partner… Melissa Green!  Hooray!  Thank you, Melissa for singing to us!
