The kids came with songs in their hearts today! And Dossledorf answered our questions! YAHOO!
And oh my goodness! Well, Dossledorf was definitely right – it WAS Troll Tiki who took his wand! Check out this note we found:
Hee Hee Hee Ho Ho Ho
Find the puzzle pieces to see what I wrote
For I am the one who took the wand
But don’t feel sad or don’t feel conned
Just follow the clues to find each letter
Then, if you can, put them together
To see why I dared to take what’s not mine
And commit this little tricky crime
But don’t be mad or don’t be cruel
There is a lesson in this for all of you.
So stay alert and let’s play
And have a puzzling sort of day!
Love, Troll Tiki
There were puzzle pieces scattered all over the yard and when we put them together, it spelled HAPPINESS. We talked about what made us happy and then made our OWN puzzles with pictures of things we loved and brought us joy. It was fun to try and put them together when we were finished.
After lunch and a goofy troll tiki story by Ben,
We found another note that led us on a rainbow scavenger hunt.
Today you learned of happiness,
A word that brings a lot of cheer
And now I ask you to look in your heart
To see if how many colors appear
For a heart that loves all kinds and colors
Is the most magical I can see
To accept all creatures and their differences
Can be the enchanted key
Love,
Troll Tiki
PS – Follow the colors of the rainbow to find the key!
The kids found all the rainbow clues which led them to a pile of old fashioned keys and a final note that said:
Now wear these keys with pride
For they have brought you one step nearer
To finding the magic of the wand
And making this mystery clearer.
We made necklaces out of the keys and they looked great! They are a great reminder that the key to an open heart is to love and accept all kinds of differences.
We feel like we are getting closer to finding the wand!! Lets cross our fingers we will find it tomorrow!
