Fairy Camp LA

Such a great first day of camp at Jack’s Enchanted Garden!   Thank you Holly and Ruben for opening your beautiful home to us!

We had a fun time getting reacquainted with each other and the magic with songs, a fairy welcome poster, dancing and games.

We were so excited to find a note from Dossledorf too!

Hello! Hello! I am so excited to be in Jack’s enchanted yard – I have heard so much about it from Jack’s fairy, Marabella. She is so proud to have Jack as a human and we are so happy to be here to help make this week super magical!

My name is Dossledorf, and I am the lead communications fairy of the villages around these parts. My job is to help the fairies and humans understand each other better.

We hope you have enjoyed the sunny weather lately. Hasn’t spelled of magic and adventure outside lately? The fairies have been hard at work – spring is the busiest time for us as we have many tasks like harvesting gems, helping the flowers blossom, warming the days, and waking up nature that have been resting all winter! We are exhausted!

We the fairies are in need of some sleepy magic – we have been so busy that we have had trouble getting the rest we need! But the Night Fairies are so mysterious – we often can’t find them. We would love to invite them to come to Jack’s enchanted backyard, but we will need your help!

Would you be so kind to wish upon (and decorate) these night fairy wands?

The fairy wands were super fun to paint with night colors, sequence and ribbons!  They looked very cool!

After lunch and games the kids found this note in the garden:

Dear Campers
Your fairy wands look spectacular! Thank you so much for your creativity. Marabella has asked that each of you receive a special gift to get to know the fairies of Jack’s Enchanted Backyard better. Please find them on the troll path.

Did I forget to mention there is a troll path at Jack’s?  Don’t worry though!  As long as you stomp through it and yell “I believe in trolls” you have nothing to worry about.

We found a basket full of star boxes on the path with this note:

Dear friends,
Thank you for your help! My name is Marabella and I am looking forward to learning more about all of you. I am sure you are curious to learn about the fairies and so, I would love to present you with these night fairy communifairilees.
The communifairilees will act as a mailbox between you and Dossledorf. You may ask any question you like, and he will write you the answers by morning.
Please decorate them in a nightly fashion.

We went back to the craft table and again had fun painting and glittering the boxes.  We asked questions for the fairies too – we hope Dossledorf writes back tonight!
