Fairy Camp LA

wowzers!

That was an unexpected day full of new adventure and song!

The construction next door to deRooville was getting so loud that we received a message from the fairies:

Please head to the village of Wondershire for a new adventure!

We were excited to explore a new village and to find so many cool new things at Wondershire!  We are thrilled to spend the rest of the week at this beautiful spot.

We had another awesome surprise!  Melissa came to visit and she brought her guitar… which is lucky since the kids found this note from the fairies:

Dear Campers,
Goodness me!
Your beautiful sun catchers have been the talk of the village! Everyone thought they were so beautiful! We are feeling very hopeful that the sun fairies will see them soon and come investigate.
As many of you know, one job of a sun fairy is to wake all the creatures of the forests. They do so by singing gently in the ears of their friends.
Princess Thesablee is excited about the songs you have sung so far at camp and asked if you would please write a song to alert the Sun Fairies that we are here waiting for them and would love for them to join our happy, sunshine-y village.

Melissa and the kids wrote a song to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle little star and performed it for the fairies.

Here are the words:

We’re at Wondershire, yes it’s true.

There’s lots of sun for you to see

Way up high, in the trees

After the kids sang the song, we were SURE we saw yellow flashes!  We hope that means the sun fairies heard the kids singing!
