Life of a Sun Fairy – Day 1

Hello!!!

How exciting it was to see so many new faces at our camp this morning! Welcome! We had a beautiful first day.

After playing, songs and even a bit of dancing, I was excited to tell the kids all about fairy camp. The kids learned how to look for fairies and to feel the magic around them. There was so much magic in fact, the kids found a note from my friend Dossledorf! It read,

Hello! hello! How excited I am to see you!
My name is Dossledorf and I am the Lead Communications Fairy for the villages of Hannalonkawich, deRooville and Wondershire.

Although many fairies live here, please let me be the first to welcome you to deRooville! We have just moved here from Griffith Park and we are so excited to have found such a magical village, and that you have come to join us!

We are so excited in fact, that Princess Thesablee (our new leader) has left you a surprise. Please search for your hidden fairy treasure, dear ones – we can’t wait to become friends!

Of course we were so excited to find the surprise. We searched high and low and finally found a magical basket that contained a new note and some mysterious circular boxes. The note was from a Royal Fairy!

Hello dears!
Til I! Princess Thesablee! We are so excited that you have found your very own Communifairilees! These magical boxes will help you communicate with the fairies and allow you to ask any questions to learn more about us. Sue and the gang will explain to you how it works.

Please paint these Communifairilees with love, gusto and imagination! Remember, Fairies LOVE color and glitter!

But just one more thing before you go….
I know I have only just met many of you, but I must say you have grand sparkles in your eyes and I sense you are quite magical. Can you help me?

You see, I need some help locating some sun fairies. The sun fairies have such an important role in a fairy village – but we have not yet recruited any to deRooville. Would you be so kind in trying to call upon them? We will give you some advice on how to do that later, but for now, you could start by making your Communifairilees burst with sunlight.

We loved making sunshine-y Communifairilees and we LOVED asking questions to Dossledorf. Hopefully he will write back tonight!

After lunch the kids found another note – it read

Sun Fairy Hint – Bubbles can talk to Sunbeams

The kids figured out that if we could make bubbles then perhaps the sun fairies might see them! We could even wish on them! Of course we set to work on making beautiful bubble wands. The kids did a fantastic job and we loved watching the bubbles float up to the sun.
