Welcome Fairies (Bella’s Enchanted Backyard)

Hello and thank you so much for joining us yesterday!

We had a lot of fun with your kids- it was great to see some old pals and to meet new friends!

We started our day with songs and dances and loved getting to know each other and being silly!

We spent some time talking about magic, and how to determine if fairies are close. Because we saw a bunch of colorful flashes, smiled for no reason and had leaves fall on our heads due to dancing fairies we just KNEW Bella’s yard was enchanted!

The kids went looking for treasures and found this note:

Hello friends!

I am so excited to write you here from Bella’s Enchanted Backyard!
Most of the time I live in a place called Hannalonkawich which is by Griffith Park… but my good friends Melissa and Sue said that they had some awesome friends that would like to play with the fairies today so we came right away!

The fairies would like to get to know you and would love to show you a few of their most favorite fairy things.

Please follow the bubbles to find a special fairy surprise!

We blew bubbles and followed them right to where pixie dust had been hidden! We decided to make our own too – and used the color our hearts were feeling that day to choose which kinds we would individually make. What fun!

After lunch the kids wanted to try using the bubbles again to find a treasure, and what do you know! We found another note! Check it out!

Oh my goodness! Dear friends!
You are so utterly magical! More magical than we even expected!! Your fairy dust looks amazing and it is very powerful. The fairies and I are so excited!
We are so excited, in fact, that the fairies have asked if they could please come visit you at your home!!!
What?! Yes!!! At your home!
The only thing you need to do is create a sign to welcome the fairies. If it is colorful and bright and full of love, the fairies will be able to see it from the sky and come for a visit! We are so excited!! Be sure to put the sign outside where the sun can shine on it.

Well of COURSE we were excited to make a sign to welcome the fairies in our own yards! The kids painted them with loads of color and glitter. We can’t wait to hear all of the fun adventures your kids have in their own enchanted backyards!
