Yahoo! Another great, adventurous, crafty day!
After playing, songs and fun, the kids found this note from Dossledorf:
Friends!
We loved your paintings of the birch trees. The fairies feel that trees are some of the greatest friends on earth. We know how proud and honored they are that you have taken the time to create art and used them for inspiration. Also – pancake mix?! YUM! Are pancakes the same as Sapcakes? I hope so because Sapcakes are glorious.
Today we ask you to head to the Sheebeeweebee Tree to find a note from the fairies. We think it will fill your hearts!!
Love, Dossledorf
We headed to the Sheebeeweebee Tree in Griffith Park (with a long play pause at the river) and found a very cool frame that the fairies had made. It had reasons of why they loved us! What was so cool about the frame is that you could erase what they wrote and write something new EACH DAY! EACH HOUR! EACH MINUTE! We loved the idea of passing along love notes to someone in our life, so we went back and made some ourselves. Maybe you and your awesome camper could write notes back and forth!
Speaking of loved ones, we took some time today to talk about those people who work hard to make sure we are safe and taken care of. All families are different, but all kids have someone who deserves a big THANK YOU for all they do. As a thank you to someone in our life who works hard for us, we made body scrubs! The kids got to try it out (such smooth hands!) and they picked out what scents the would like to put it in. Loads of fun!
Can’t wait until tomorrow!
