Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

Hello!  What a wonderful start to a wonderful week!

We have such jolly, fun, smiley kids and we loved spending our day with them.

The fairies must have been excited too because after we sang songs and danced we found this note:

Dearest Friends,
Oh glory day and merriment!
It is the time of year for big wishes, giving hearts and LOADS of magic. We cannot wait to spend a week with you crafting, singing, adventuring and having the most enchanting time.
As you may know, my fairy friends and I who live in the village of Hannalonkawich absolutely love our friends at Melissa and Sue camp. We have left you a gift of music by the wishing well that we hope you will go and check out.
On your way, please look for us in the trees. We are waving at you!
With love,
Dossledorf
Lead Communications Fairy for the Village of Hannalonkawich, tribe of Shlittersnence.

Of course we headed to the wishing well right away to see what awaited us!

The fairies had left us bells and shakers and we had a ball spreading the gift of music to all the passerbys.

When we returned to Oxfordshire, we thought about all the gifts that trees give us.  What magical friends they are!  We decided to create art inspired by the trees of Griffith Park.  They looked beautiful!

We also talked about traditions – we shared what traditions we have during the holidays and we found out that the Fairies also have traditions, namely, they always have sapcakes on the first morning of the Out of Heart Festival.  Well, it seemed only right to make some pancake mix (or sapcake mix) to bring home so we could share some with people we love too!  It was fun to mix it all together.  Enjoy!

Can’t wait to see all these smiley faces again!

Happy Out of the Heart Festival!
