Hello!! We are so happy to have this wonderful group of awesome campers this week! Seriously, these kids are AWESOME! We had such a fun day, and I must say things got a little silly with a visit from a little troll friend…
We started our day with awesome songs and games to learn our new pals’ names. After snack the kids found this note:
Dear children,
Hello my friends! It is I, Dosseldorf, lead Communications Fairy of the Village of Hannalonkawich. Welcome to Oxfordshire, the new fairy habitat ruled by Queen Leekis and King Wringlepringle.
There are a few things I would like to tell you about the fairies.
they love to sing TROLLS SO MUCH!
They have open hearts TROLLS ON THE BRAIN
They want you to feel joy in your heart LOVE for TROLLS
They think you TROLLS are awesome!
Please head to the wishing well to receive a gift from the queen. TROLL TIKI, TROLL EXTRAORDINAIRE!
Love Dossledorf YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD TROLL!
What is going on around here? Our note was hijacked by a TROLL!!????
The kids were tickled to think that a troll had taken over Dossledorf’s note. We had an excellent hike to the wishing well. We passed the gate of riddles, the performance tunnel, the turtle pond and the Royal Sleeping Chamber and learned a lot about trolls and fairies along our way.
When we reached the wishing well we found boxes and this note:
Hahaha hee hee hee
Do you want to play a game with me?
I’m no fairy, I ain’t no queen
I’m pretty tricky, but never mean
My friend and I are taking over this week
For a little bit of fun and a whole lot of sneak.
In each box you will find a feather from our hats
And Feel free to ask us a question so we can have a little chat
Go decorate this box But like a troll would do
Be sure to Use moss and dirt And a whole lot of messy glue!
See you tomorrow, dear friends! And let the fun begin!
Cause when you believe in magic, You always will win.
The kids did an excellent job making their boxes (called Communifairilees) very troll-y.
We asked questions to the trolls and fairies and we hope they answer tonight!
