Hello!
Even though today had a few tricks up its sleeve,
we had so much fun singing, laughing, crafting and playing!
Today Dossledorf’s note read,
Goodness. We don’t know whether to laugh or throw our wings up in the air with frustration!
Seems as though our pal Tiki did NOT in fact show his face yesterday (he does get shy) but instead sent you on a wild troll hunt! I’m sorry for the craziness – but we do hope you enjoyed learning the Troll language. It can be quite fun (and also a great way to send mystery messages to other friends that know the language).
Today we promise things will get back to normal (we hope!). The fairies have a grand idea and so we have left something at the wishing well that should help you in these Troll-filled days.
Remember to stop on the bridge and do the troll dance!
(don’t know the troll dance?! Ask Melissa and Sue – it is quite silly, but effective).
With love,
Dossledorf
Our hike to the wishing well was awesome! We saw turtles, crawfish and even a crane!
When we got to the Wishing Well, the kids found an odd looking, tiny bridge and a Puzzle Note that read,
Dear friends,
As you know, our friend Troll Tiki is a under-the-bridge dwelling Troll. This is where he hides, sleeps, thinks, reads, and makes his meals.
We have left you a Connarend, a device to help Bridge the Gap. Connarend is a fairy word that means “connecting strangers and making them friends” (a direct translation is always tricky).
You see, a long, long, long time ago, before Trolls and Fairies were good friends, the two species were curious but wary of each other. It was the brilliance of Queen Leekis who created the Connarend to help Bridge the Gap between the two worlds. The fairies would make these bridges to indicate to the trolls that they were welcome into their villages as long as they came in peace.
In return, the trolls would leave little offerings of friendship on the bridge: a flower petal, a treasure, a dew drop or a song.
Please make your own Connarend, and bring it home. Hopefully the trolls will see it and know you are a friend.
Love and magic,
The fairies
The kids made Connarends that were beautiful, sparkly and hopefully very welcoming to the trolls!
Thank goodness for the help of the fairies!
Good night!
