What a great first day! We feel so lucky to have a great group of magical kids this week – we are going to have a blast!
This morning we gathered together and sang songs, discussed the magic of the park and met new pals. Check out these smiles!
After snack, we found a note from our pal Dossledorf (he’s the Communication Fairy for the village of Hannalonkawich). It read,
Dear Children,
Hello and welcome to the most wonderful place on earth! Griffith Park is home to such beautiful and magical things… including us fairies!
My name is Dossledorf, and I am the primary Communications Fairy from the village of Hannalonkawich, tribe of Shlittersnence. We are so excited to have you here… especially this week! It is a joyous time for us – but I promised I’d let the other fairies tell you what is going on.
They said they have a note and a gift waiting for you at the old Locanville village.
Please go have a look and I will write back tomorrow!
With love,
Dossledorf
We were so excited to see what the fairies left for us that we ran to Locanville straight away! We found boxes (in the shape of a peace sign) and this note:
Dear Campers,
Hello! We are so excited to see our beautiful human friends!
We hope you like the gifts we left you. For those of you who don’t know, they are called “Communifairalees”… which is a fancy Fairy way of saying “Mailbox”. If you ask questions to Dossledorf or us, we will put the answers in here during the night. It is such a great way for you to get to know us, and for us to spread our magic!
Please go back to Fairy Headquarters to decorate these with your own unique sense of awesome.
In other news…
We are seriously jumping up and down with excitement to invite to our Fairystock week! This week is one of our favorite holidays. For 5 straight days we concentrate on the power of love and peace and music. It is kind of like Valentines Day mixed with an awesome week long concert.
We really hope you will join us in our fun.
Friday is our big performance Day – please say you will participate in it with us? PPPPLLLLEEEEEAAASSSEEE? If so, would you create a love-filled, magic infused song to sing as our opening act?
Let us know.
With love, peace and music,
The fairies of Hannlonkawich
The kids are thrilled to have a real live fairy to ask our questions to – we hope Dossledorf writes back tomorrow!
We headed back to Fairy Headquarters and decorated our Communifairalees. They look super magical!
At the end of the day, we even got a chance to start working on the song the fairies requested we write. We can’t wait to finish it up tomorrow!
Until then,
sending you love for a magical night!
