Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

The magic continues to grow and grow… not only in our notes from the fairies, but in the big smiles, big excitement and new friendships we see with our campers!

Dossledorf was so happy and so excited to hear about our findings regarding Achakaibing!  Check out his note:

Dearest Friends,

We, the fairies of Hannalonkawich are absolutely stunned. We cannot believe that there is even a possibility that Achakaibing could be a real village. For our whole lives we believed it was just a fable.

I have left a note for DiggerRigger. I felt silly doing so, since I am not even sure if he exists, but nevertheless, I did. I wrote it in Ancient Fairy Writing in case he hasn’t learned the modern alphabet.

Please head to Achakaibing to see if he wrote back.

You amaze me, my friends. Amaze me.

Love, D

We went to Achakaibing to see if DiggerRigger wrote back.

And write back he did!  But in some crazy language that we couldn’t understand!

Luckily, Margaux found a legend in buried under a tree – with it, we were able to decipher his note!  It said, “I’m sorry.  Need Forgiveness from LM.  Help!”

We sat down and brainstormed right away.  How could we help DiggerRigger and get Lily Mee to Achakaibing?  It been 100000s of human years since she spoke to him.  What would be magical and powerful enough to help?!  The kids wondered if pixie dust would do the trick.  We posed the question to Dossledorf – we can’t wait to see if he agrees.

When we returned to base camp we had such fun playing with the legends.  We wrote letters to Lily Mee , wrote our names and even notes to our pals all using ancient fairy writing.  A secret language used only by ancient fairies!?!?!! Such fun!
