Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

And the amazing Fairy Games continue!!

We were SO SO SO excited that Dossledorf wrote back to our questions!  What a treat to have a letter from a real live fairy!

We also competed in a Fairy Game competition of “Troll Tiki Says” (similar to Simon Says).  Congrats to Lila and Hazel who were nearly unstoppable!

In the mailbox, we found a note from Dossledorf that read,

Dear Children,

What a wonderful group you are! I can tell we are going to have a boatload of fun at this year’s Fairy Games!

The fairies have been trying to figure out what sport to show you first. They decided on Discotiskis… mainly because they love to see people get down and groove. That’s right! This sport requires you not to only be a good thrower but a great dancer!

Head to the wishing well to find an example of the Discotiskis… and don’t forget to groove along the way!

With love,

Dossledorf

We headed to the wishing well right away where we found another note that said,

Dear Children,

Oh goodness! We are TOOOOOO excited to see your Discotiskis moves! Sue can explain all about how to play… and Melissa will give you an excellent demonstration. She did win 4th place in the Discotiskis competition in 2009.

Remember to have confidence, focus and a limber body (and look out for uncoming Discotiskis!!!).

Have fun!

The fairies

We created our own Discotiskis (with loads of paint, glitter and gems)

And then when they were totally dry, we warmed up our dance moves and played the game!

We had so much fun – my throat hurts from cheering!

I wonder what tomorrow’s game will be like??????????

See you in the morning!
