Fairy Camp LA

A blog for Fairy Camp LA, focusing on crafts, music, dancing, nature, fairies, trolls, magic, and other enchanting activities for children.

Hello!  What a great start to a new week!  We are overjoyed to have another group of AMAZING campers!  You can already tell that this is a very magical bunch of kids!

We were so excited to meet our new campers and make new pals!  We loved singing and dancing together!

After getting to know each other we gathered around to hear the note from our fairy pal, Dossledorf!

It read,

Dear Children,

Oh my, Oh gee – it is great to see you! All the fairies and I have been so excited that you are coming to Griffith, we’ve been talking about it for weeks! We are so excited to show you the blooming of the sheebeeweebee tree and all of our fairy friends in the rivers and trees.

This week, we hope to help you solve some of the fairies’ most mysterious mysteries. Remember to stay curious and ask and ask and ask loads of questions.

But first, how could I be so rude? – forgive me. For those of you who don’t know, my name is Dossledorf.   I am the communications fairy – my job is to write letters to the Friends of Fairies – and every summer Sue and Melissa ask if I could help them with their Magic in the Forest Camps.

We always have a great time together, dancing and singing, crafting and learning about each other’s cultures.

Today we would like to welcome you by giving you your own Communifairalee. They are waiting for you near the old village of Locanville. Please have a look!

Love,

Dossledorf

We were super excited to follow the path to Locanville… and check out what we found!

We found a note from the fairies too – it said,

Hooray!
Sweet children, congratulations!
It is with the utmost pleasure to give you your very own fairy mailbox called a Communifairalee. Use this to communicate with me or the other fairies. Each day at the end of camp, you may ask us questions. With a little bit of magic and a whole lot of fun we will try our best to answer all the questions!
We can’t wait to find out all about each other.
Would you please decorate these to match your personal sense of magic?  Also, we would love if you joined us by the wishing well!
With love,

The Fairies of Hannalonkawich.

We took a walk to the fairy wishing well, and learned the spell and wishing ways and threw them in the pond. So many creatures were out today: turtles, dragonflies, and crayfish too!

The kids did such a nice job decorating their Communifairlies, and they asked such thoughtful questions… I hope the fairies answer them tonight!

A wonderful day!  Can’t wait until tomorrow!!

Have a magical night!
