Wow!
The excitement never ceases around here! Today was full of fun and surprises!
This morning we helped King Wringlepringle’s butterfly escape from a spider web. My heart was in my throat – but there was success! The kids cheered and cheered and the butterfly came back several times to thank us!
We also received a great note from Dossledorf:
The fun never stops! Yahoo!
The fairies have been commenting on just how wonderful you all have been. They find you very interesting and have been asking many questions about YOU!
Today they wanted to let you in on how fairies NEVER, EVER (except maybe once or twice) get lost.
Look for the signs they have laid out for you (two sticks that lay extremely close together) to find their map surprise!
Love Dossledorf
We went on a search and followed the path of two-sticks
Until we came upon a note and a very interestingly decorated piece of bark:
The note read,
Hello friends!
Thank you for traveling so far to our village to see us! We have left you the answer to the inquiry of how do we know where to fly? Do we have iphones or GPS? Goodness no.
We use barkamoon maps!
Barkamoons are bark that sheds on a full moon from a Whooping Tilly tree.
If you like, many barkamoons were created during the last full moon, please find one of your own and make a barkamoon map to your home. Then the fairies will be able to find you so much easier!
Love,
The fairies
The kids were very excited to go back to base camp and create their own barkamoons, but before we got there, they sang wake up songs to the turtles and the little river creatures actually popped their heads out to say hello!
Back at base camp the kids used markers, paints and LOADS of glitter to make their maps. I definitely don’t think the fairies will have any problems finding these friends of the fairies!
I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday! what a colorful, magical week it has been!
(Also, special thanks to our pal Matt who came in today to sub for Kim… you are the butterfly whisperer!!)
