Dear Friends,
My goodness,
If you could have only seen Tinner last night. He was just so happy and looked so confident. Thank you for opening your heart to our shy, private pal. It means the world to us.
Today is such a magical day!
Finally, Friendship Day is here! We will be celebrating with a party of big epic proportions. The fairies have a big question for you.
They have left a note for you somewhere in the jungle where our 8 legged friends like to be.
Love,
D
and when we got to the jungle we found this note…
Dear Friends,
Thank you for a glorious week.
Thank you for including all of our friends in your play and for welcoming all to your yards and homes. The world is such a grand place, and friendship is one of the best, most beautiful things about it. Please remember – no matter what – the fairies and all of our friends, and all the friends that you met here at camp this week will stay close in your heart. If you shall ever feel lonely we will be here.
As part of our celebration, we were wondering if you could write a song about friendship and what you learned this week! We have loved listening to your voices singing to us in the trees and we would love it if you would create a song for this special event.
Please say yes!
Love, the fairies
PS – one of our favorite activities of Friendship Day is the creation and exchange of friendship bracelets! WE hope you will continue this tradition!
The kids wrote a lovely song… here are the words!
Friendship Day
When we are together
I know that we’ll be friends forever
When we are apart, you’re always in my heart
When you are being kind
friendship I will always find
I know that the fairies above
are always sending love
do, do do, do do doooo do do do do do do.
And we LOVED finding a new friends that we made this week and exchanging friendship bracelets with them! We are a lucky (albeit goofy) bunch!
