Fairy Camp LA

Hello everyone!

What a great first day!  We were SO happy to see SO many of our old pals come back for this summer’s Performance Fairies… and we were elated that any new faces fit in immediately!

We are so excited to see what these kids will create this session – their enthusiasm is abundant and the magic is all around us!

This morning, the kids found a letter from Dossledorf that read,

Dear Kids,

Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to Melissa and Sue camp in Griffith Park!

The fairies and I can’t wait to adventure, play and explore with you. The park is full of magic and we can’t wait to share it with you campers!

These two weeks are so very exciting for us here at Hannalonkawich. It is time for our annual Theater Festival!   I am so excited AND nervous! I’m trying out for the lead this year!!

Wait. I just realized that not all of you know who I am! How rude! allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dossledorf and I am honored to be the Communications Officer to the Fairy Village of Hannalonkawich, and the tribe of Schlittersnence. I relay any information, questions or ideas from you campers to the rest of the fairies.

Speaking of messages, the fairies wanted me to tell you that they left something for you at the village!

Please go forth and check it out! Be sure to keep your eyes out for magic along the way!

Theater Festival? Fairies? Messages?  We headed to the village immediately!

 

When we arrived there were little treasure boxes on the ground and a note from the Fairies!  It said,

Hello and welcome to the village of Hannalonkawich!

We hope you like the gifts we left you! These treasure boxes, or Comunifairalees, help you and your fairy friends communicate.

After every day at camp please feel free to ask any questions you like – in morning, your answer will be put in this communifairalee.

Melissa and Sue will fill you in on the rest.

Please return to base camp and decorate these boxes with your own unique sense of fun, magic and zest.

We can’t wait to see them!

Also, did Dossledorf write you about the upcoming excitement? We will be performing in a Fairy Productions show in two weeks! We are all very excited. Wait. Would you like to join us? Would you be a part of our show?

Please say yes! You can perform ANYTHING you like!

The kids LOVED their Communifarilees

and were very excited to decorate them with paint and glitter!  We hope the questions we asked the fairies will be answered tonight!

After lunch we played theater games and sang a bunch of fun songs.

We are VERY excited to see what tomorrow holds for us – and what the fairies will ask us to do for the Performance!
