Holy Doodle! Can you believe tomorrow is our last day?! My goodness! We have had such fun!
Today we heard from very special magical friends of the fairies today… check it out!
Dear Friends,
Such joy and celebration last night! The village was bright and excited and full of chatter about their new pals, the goldfish.
They saw your paintings and are very excited to know more about their friends from Aquavia.
Please, if you can today, visit Aquavia and tell the fish about our other friends. Tell them all about the owls who needed jokes, the ladybug who just had 35 babies, the dragonfly’s beauty.
Also, keep your eyes and hearts open when you pass the fairy wishing well… there is magic waiting for you there!
Love, Dossledorf
The walk to Aquavia was beautiful. So many of our friends came to see us: butterflies, dragonflies, lady bugs, bees. The kids told stories to the leaves and then threw the leaves in the pond for the fish to hear. The fish seemed to really enjoy them!
At the wishing well we found an amazing surprise –
We also found this note:
Dear human children,
Our best friends, the fairies, have told us all about you and your kindness. We so appreciate all of the help you have given to the Fairy Villages of Griffith Park. You have been smart, creative and very fun!
But wait. I must introduce myself – my name is Raseada – I am the Ambassador to the Mermaids of Aquavia. Dossledorf is my best friend and I too act like a communication mermaid for the rest of my tribe.
I’m not sure what you know of mermaids, but I will tell you this briefly. Everything in our life depends on magic. The belief and magic of children, especially.
We would love to have this magic a part of your Glapidiouses. Would you please draw or tell a story of the most magical thing you’ve ever seen or experienced?
Then, would you create a bottle similar to this one, fill it with sand, and add shells so the mermaids know you have done this in their honor?
We simply can’t wait to hear about your magic. Always keep it in your hearts, my dears.
With love,
Raseada and the mermaids.
The kids drew all sorts of magical things: mermaids, fairies, airplanes and even magical grass!
Afterward, they filled jars with sand, and added magic (glitter, beads, sparkles and shells) and then chose material to top off their Magic Message in a Bottle!
