Welcome Back, folks! We hope you had a great weekend! We kicked off our second week of fairy friends with gusto! So glad to have Hannah, Penelope and Vivian join us this week!
Our campers received this exciting note from Dossledorf this morning:
Dear friends,
We hope you have had a wonderful weekend!
We hope we have not kept you up at night – there has been a lot of visiting and excitement this weekend in your Glapidiouses. The ladybugs (and all their children), the spiders and the dragonflies are all having a wonderful time.
Over the weekend, many friends came to see us and asked for your help. We hope you will extend your kindness one week further to help a few more of our friends.
Today, a note awaits you from one of our wisest of friends, please go to the village of Hanalonkawich to find out!
Love,
Dossledorf
When we arrived at the village, the kids found the cutest little owl
and and note from the fairies:
Dear Children,
The forest is filling with such joy thanks to you and your open hearts. There is one place however that needs a bit more laughter, however. High amongst the treetops our dear friends the owls live. The owls are so important to the fairies – they are our most trusted advisors and wisest of forest critters. They are however, feeling a little blue these days. They need something to distract them from all the world’s events – they need laughter… they need some jokes!
Would you please create an owl with pinecones for your Glapidious? Then, would you make up or tell some hysterical jokes that will make the owls hoot with laughter?
You would really make our day!
Thank you friends!
Love, the fairies
At the Hanalonkawich the kids told so many jokes – the owls must have been hooting with laughter! I know I was!
We went pine cone hunting for our craft
and when we returned to base camp we spent time cutting, gluing and creating owls to put in our Glapidiouses. They turned out so well! We hope the owls feel happier now!
