The kids did a great job today and really put hard work into their Eco Craft!
Here was our first note from Dossledorf this morning:
Dear Friends,
What a wonderful, beautiful thing to see all of you with your colorful, reusable, bags! It made the fairies so happy to see your decorations AND to know that this bag will hopefully help the Earth.
Now, I hope it is not out of turn to ask, but some of the fairies have been begging me to ask that since you are such expert arts and crafters that maybe, just perhaps, there might be a chance that…
Oh geez! I’m going to let the fairies ask you themselves.
Please go to Hanalonkawich if you wouldn’t mind helping them!!
Love,
Dossledorf
We were very confused why Dossledorf was being secretive – so we headed to the village right away. When we got there we found a wooden house and this note:
Oh sweet children,
Tis us, your fairy friends!
We have our wings crossed with hope that you would please, please, please create a fairy house for us.
But not a fairy house like our regular ones (like this one here) but rather, a house made out of recycled materials: one using imagination, creativity and a splash of magic.
The materials are simple: please use all recycled cardboard and then the rest has no rules! Don’t let others tell you what looks good or doesn’t – because if you work with your open heart and use your own ideas the right fairy will come to you.
And we will come to you! We hope you will put the houses in a great and magical place at your house because we would REALLY love to visit them!
With love,
Luna, LeeSee, Sparklecrush, Dossledorf and the rest of the fairies
We were VERY excited to make a house – especially one that didn’t have a lot of rules!
The kids were given many different kinds of recycled material: cardboard, leftover felt, material, buttons, etc. The kids set to work and made such great art. We are very proud of them and know the fairies are going to be ecstatic!
