Here is to a fantastic first day of camp!
Melissa and I were so excited about our campers – so magical and SO kind! We’ve already seen friendships blooming and we couldn’t be happier! What a great group of kids!
Today the campers received a couple of notes from the Communications Fairy, Dossledorf. The first one read:
Dear friends,
Oh goodness, oh my gosh… We have been so excited about your arrival.
My fairy friends and I have been counting down the days until we see you again!
But wait… Some of you might be new to Griffith park and all the magic that awaits you here.
And if this is true, how embarrassing! You don’t even know who I am! Please forgive me and let me introduce myself. I am Dossledorf. I live in Griffith park and am a part of the fairy community Hanalonkawich in the tribe of Shlittersnence.
My job is to communicate with the human world. They call me a communications fairy. We all have jobs, and they are all equally important. I love my job because I love teaching people about fairies.
If you have any questions about me or my fairy friends, please let me know.
This gives me a wonderful idea. Please go to the Hanalonkawich meeting spot (otherwise known as the fairy village) for a fun surprise.
More later…
With love, Dossledorf.
When we got to the fairy village another note awaited us AND beautiful wooden boxes!
Hooray!
Sweet children, congratulations!
It is with the utmost pleasure to give you your very own fairy mailbox. Use this to communicate with me or the other fairies.
We can’t wait to find out all about each other.
Would you please decorate these to match your personal sense of magic?
With love, Dossledorf.
We had fun decorating the boxes and we look forward to hearing the answers to the questions we asked today!
We learned so much about each other AND about fairies today – we can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow!
