Oh Joy! Oh Joy!
The magic continued today at Griffith Park!
We were so excited to be back together that we had to just dance for excitement!
Dosseldorf and the fairies came and answered each and every one of the children’s questions. He also gave each of the kids a small jingle bell as a gift. What an awesome dude, that Dossledorf!
We hiked to the village today and we were all very excited to see a lot of fairy writing and surprises along the way. It is amazing what you can find when you just look with a new “fairy” perspective.
When we got there we read another note from our Fairy Friends! It said,
Dear Friends,
Wowzers! We the fairies are so utterly impressed with you!
The fairies have been singing your “Zoo Kazoo” song all night! We love it and hope that you will sing it at the concert at the end of the week!
Will you please do us a favor and sing it right now? I will pause this letter so you are able to….
Thank you!! So wonderful! We are so excited to have you as our new friends.
We were hoping that you could build one of our favorite fairy instruments today – it is called the Magic Whisper shaka shaka tambourine.
You will need to find a stick that looks like a “Y”. I will draw it for you:
Y
After that, use materials to connect the Y arms and add some fun decorations and you’ve got it!
Thank you again for being a part of our band.
We think you are VERY cool!
With love,
Dossledorf
Then we found these materials waiting for us!
We had fun finding sticks that were Y shaped… even if some were a little too big to bring back to our work area!
The kids got super creative making their Magic Whisper shaka shaka tambourines. It was really fun using a hammer and nail to make holes in the bottle caps. It was also fun making the instrument unique and colorful… like us!
Afterward, we listened to the tambourines and became inspired by the sound. We wrote a song about all the things it reminded us of! We can’t wait to sing it for you!
