We are so thrilled to have such an energetic, creative group!  We loved meeting new friends today – and we were so happy when they seemed to get along together so wonderfully!

We started our day with songs, but truth be told, the kids were all very excited to learn about fairy friends.

We thought the best thing to do was go straight to the fairy village.  And I’m so glad we did!  When we arrived we found treasure boxes!

Inside the boxes were jewels and a note asking the kids to be sure to ask curious questions because Dossledorf the Communication Fairy will answer all of them!

We  brought the fairy boxes back to the mats and we set out to make them very jazzy!  I think it was a success!

After lunch, the kids found a note that talked about fairyland, and then asked them to join their band!  There is going to be a concert at the end of the week and the fairies need their help to write songs and make instruments!  We made a list of all the instruments we knew, and the coolest one was the Kazoo!  We set to work on creating a kazoo for us to play.

We LOVED playing the kazoo – it sounds like magic!  We were so excited that we started to write a song called “Kazoo Zoo”.  You are going to love it!

Thanks for a great first day!  I wonder what musical surprises await us tomorrow!
